Victoria Silvstedt was born into a middle-class family in the northern village of Skelleftea, Sweden. She grew up with an older sister and a younger brother.
During the long winters of her childhood, Victoria enjoyed downhill skiing. She was competitive in the sport, but at the age of 18 became competitive in something else - modeling.
At the age of 18, Victoria entered the Miss Sweden pageant and won! She went on to represent Sweden in the 1993 Miss World Pageant and finished in the top ten.
With a taste of fame and fortune, Victoria left Sweden to pursue a modeling career in Paris, France. Her five-foot-nine frame and stunning looks made finding work an easy task.
It was her modeling exposure that caught the eye of Playboy Magazine. Victoria was invited to pose and soon appeared on the magazine's legendary pages as Miss December 1997. She was so popular that she was chosen to be Playboy's 1997 Playmate of the Year.
Victoria's career took off with the popularity she gained as Playmate of the Year. She landed dozens more modeling jobs ans signed a major contract with Guess? Jeans, following in the footsteps of such models as Eva Herzigova. Victoria also began appearing in TV shows such as Melrose Place and MTV's The Real World. She even made a guest appearance in the film Baseketball.
Victoria now lives in Los Angeles and continues to enjoy her successful career. She also recorded and released her own album entitled "Hello Hey". Although it's not big in North America, it has gone gold in Europe!
