Catherine Bell was born on August 14, 1968 in London, England, to a British father and an Iranian mother. When she was three years old, Catherine moved to America with her mother, and her family eventually settled in Los Angeles.
Like so many future-beauties, Catherine Bell was underdeveloped and "nerdy" (as she would describe it) during her adolescence. She wasn't too popular in high school, due to her geeky nature and tomboy looks. Rather than beautifying like the other girls, Catherine would program computer games with her spare time.
That would eventually change, obviously. She attended UCLA with ambitions to become a doctor or biochemical engineer. She also enrolled in her first acting class, and became hooked on life in front of a camera. She left school to model in Japan, and found herself mixed up in a life of partying, diet pills, and poor eating habits
After two years, she returned to America and cleaned up her life. She continued with acting and eventually married Adam Benson, whom she met on the set of Death Becomes Her.
What made Catherine as popular as she is today is her role as Lieutenant Dianne Schonke, on the NBC series JAG. After four years of being on the show, Catherine has grown an amazing fan base. Since then, she has appeared in numerous other TV shows and films as well.
