Angelica Bridges Biography
born: November 20, 1973place of birth: Harrisonville, Missouri
height: 5'8"
measures: 35B-24-35
Angelica Bridges is a small town girl from Missouri. Looking at her now, you probably wouldn't guess she was a tomboy in her youth, prefering horses and fishing to Barbie dolls. From an early age, though, she dreamed of being a big star. She got her start early, doing voice work for radio commercials.
When she was 12, Angelica headed to Kansas City to take part in a talent search held by NBC. In a contest with hundreds of paticipants, Angelica was chosen (along with 19 others) to sign a contract for future work.
On her continued search for stardom, Angelica began working as a model at the age of 14. During this time she also became the lead singer in a band. While performing with her group at Universal Studios, she caught the eye of the founder of Elite Modeling Agency. He signed her to Elite and she decided to scrap the singing for modeling. Angelica was later crowned "Miss Missouri Teen" by Teen Magazine. At the age of 16, she appeared on the cover of the magazine.
As a model, Angelica appeared in numerous comercials for products such as Diet Coke, Pontiac, Toyota, Doritos, Hanes, IBM, Bally's, Pepsi, American Express, and most notably, Brut Cologne, as Troy Aikman's girlfriend. She also became known as the "Ultress Girl", having signed a 2-year contract with Clairol.
The next step in Angelica's career was a big one - acting. Most people probably first heard the name Angelica Bridges from her acting credits. In 1995 she had a couple jobs, including a role in the 1995 comedy California Heat. The following year she landed a recurring role on the popular soap opera Days of Our Lives.
After a slew of bit parts and guest-appearances, Angelica scored the big one: BAYWATCH. She played Lieutenant Taylor Walsh on the hit show in 1997. Though her part didn't last long, it did bring her a lot of attention. She followed up with parts on Mortal Kombat: Cnquest, and appearances on Pamela Lee's V.I.P., and the comedies Suddenly Susan and That '70s Show.
